Which Tastes Better?
If you’re trying to decide which chocolate coconut candy bars to buy for those critical chocolate craving attacks (it’s ok, we all get them), PSC is here to help you out. Our taste-testers put Mounds bars (made by The Hershey Company) and UNREAL Dark Chocolate Coconut Bars (made by UNREAL Candy) to the test to determine which bar wins the taste game.
Pros:
Mounds
- Smooth, comforting Hershey’s Chocolate
- Classic nostalgic taste
- Sufficient amount of coconut flavor
- Gluten-free
UNREAL Dark Chocolate Coconut Bars
- Satisfying dark chocolate flavor
- Light, fluffy, not-too-chewy coconut center
- Good amount of coconut flavor
- Vegan, gluten-free
Cons:
Mounds
- Coconut filling is a little too sweet and leaves a bit of an unpleasant aftertaste
- Texture seems overly moist
UNREAL Dark Chocolate Coconut Bars
- Could use a little more chocolate coating
And the winner is…
UNREAL Dark Chocolate Coconut Bars!
The PSC taste-testers thought the UNREAL bars were overall better tasting than the Mounds bars and were actually quite addicting (which may or may not be a good thing). One just doesn’t seem to be enough, no matter how hard we try.
These are great for an anytime snack or craving.
